Photographed on October 22, 2024 Located in Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, this is a checkpoint for the Sendai Domain, located at a strategic point on the “Hanayama Pass” that leads from the Sendai Domain to the Akita Domain. It is rare for a checkpoint to remain as a relic, and it is extremely valuable. It is a nationally designated historic site.
